Product Features:
Reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive (PUR) is a solid at room temperature and melts upon heating before application. It is a single-component, solvent-free structural hot melt adhesive that achieves high initial bonding strength through physical solidification. Subsequently, moisture from the environment (substrate or air) triggers a chemical crosslinking reaction, converting it into an elastomer.
Once fully cured, it provides stronger adhesive strength with excellent moisture resistance, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. This adhesive combines the advantages of:
Environmental friendliness and rapid bonding of hot melt adhesives,
High strength of reactive adhesives,
Elasticity of polyurethane adhesives, and
High/low temperature resistance.
Due to its high reactivity and excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, it is suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Pretreatment:
(1)Adhesive preparation: Preheat the adhesive to 120–130°C for 20–30 minutes..
(2)Substrate preparation: Ensure bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil or grease.
(3)Dispensing conditions:
Recommended dispensing temperature: 130°C
Air pressure: 2–6 bar
Needle size: 19–23#
Higher temperature and pressure increase dispensing volume.
Purge 25 px before dispensing..
(4)Working time: Adhesive has pressure-sensitive properties, allowing sufficient assembly time.
Cleaning:
(1)After dispensing, wait for the adhesive to cool to room temperature, and remove any excess along the edges.
(2)Uncured adhesive can be scraped off with a blade.
(3)When wiping the applied area, common cleaning solvents such as toluene or acetone can be used. Remove residues before the adhesive cures.
Precautions:
(1)Do not reheat the adhesive multiple times. Once opened, use within 48 hours, and heating time should not exceed 48 hours.
(2)Do not exceed the recommended application temperature: ≤140°C.
(3)Handle carefully to avoid burn injuries.
Important: Please read the instructions carefully to ensure proper use.
Storage and Shelf Life:
(1)Store the product in vacuum-sealed aluminum foil bags in a dry environment at 15–25°C.
(2)Unopened product has a shelf life of 6 months.
Health and Safety:
(1)Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for proper handling and disposal instructions.
(2)The information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, since the conditions and methods of use are beyond our control, this information does not replace the customer’s own testing to ensure the product’s safety, effectiveness, and suitability for the intended application.
